Michael Kors handbags are a chic luxury that you can enjoy on a daily basis. They are a sleek, sophisticated accessory that is sure to enhance any woman's wardrobe. The Michael Kors handbag consists of a well thought out combination of the highest quality leathers and hardware. Michael Kors was born on Long Island, a suburb of New York City. This is where Kors attended a fashion school studying fashion design. When he was 19, Michael Kors began designing a collection for a well known boutique in New York City. Kors became so successful that he decided to go out on his own and began designing handbags along with his own clothing lines. Kors handbags are designed around the fact that women want a handbag that makes them feel good by exuding style, sophistication, and that perhaps may have others believing that they lead a lifestyle of luxury. Celebrities such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Barbra Streisand, Sharon Stone, Lauren Hutton, and Angela Houston have all been seen proudly sporting their Kors handbags. If you are looking to purchase your own Kors handbag, you will find a vast selection of different styles on the internet. Michael Kors offers highly fashionable totes, satchels, hobo bags, and duffel style shoulder bags. Incredibly soft and luxurious leathers accented with silver tone hardware and buckles defines the quality and sophistication of the Michael Kors designer handbag.

TJ Maxx sells some Michael Kors handbags and I was surprised to read the labels. A lot of them are made in Asia. So are a lot of Kate Spade and Marc Jacobs. TJ Maxx would never sell knock offs. If I'm going to pay a few hundred dollars for a handbag, I want the label to read Made in USA or Italy. I know their handbags on the really high end are made in Italy but even $300 bags are Asian made. I know these people are paid peanuts for their labor and that doesn't make me happy. Shame of these designers.

I totally agree with you on the issue of purchasing a high end bag with the higher price tag yet the label reads China, give me a break. I opt to go to consignment stores, salvation army, or other thrift stores in search of bags made in Italy or United states. I don't want to add to our economic downturn since most of our manufacturing is done by Communist/Socialist China. We have just made them very wealthy and look at our country today.

I agree. I just saw a Kors bag in TJ Maxx marked from $300-something down to $150, but I didn't buy it because it was made in Asia, and looked like it. Shame on designers for charging outrageous prices for bags made for pennies by sweatshop labor. Truly disgusting.

I just bought a Michale Kors bag at Marshalls for more than half the $500 ticket price. I hope it's real. I agree, why are they made in Indonesia?

I wonder if they were a part of the crew that hanged Kathy Gifford!
